Introducing The New 2023 Chevy Silverado


At Friendly Chevrolet in Fridley, MN near Minneapolis we are excited to see the production starting of the new 2023 Chevy Silverado. The new 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 is expected to see some minor changes and updates in it’s fourth model year of the fourth-generation pickup truck. The 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 is expected to offer engine and transmission choices carried over from the 2022 model year.

What’s New With The 2023 Chevy Silverado?

The 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 will introduce the new 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine to the light duty truck’s powertrain lineup. The new LZ0 engine will replace the 3.0L LM2 engine option and is expected to offer the same performance although it may have improved fuel economy.

For 2023, the Chevy Silverado 1500 will remove the Silver Ice Metallic and Cherry Red Tint-coat exterior colors from its order book, which will be replaced with Sterling Gray Metallic, Harvest Bronze Metallic and Radiant Red Tintcoat. Some 2023 Silverado 1500 that would normally be equipped with Front and Rear Park Assist will not include these features at launch because of the current semiconductor chip shortage

When Does The Production Start for the 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500?


The start of normal production for the light-duty 2023 Chevy Silverado 500 is confirmed for August 29th for both Regular Cab and Crew Cab models. Production of Double Cab models will begin a week later on September 6th, 2022.

This engine is standard on the RS and also available for the 3LT and Premier.
