What are the new colors for the 2023 Telluride?

Chris Teague | Apr 13, 2022

The Kia Telluride is one of the most popular and hard-to-find models today. Just a few years into its run on the market, Kia has more demand for its largest SUV than it can handle. The 2023 model year brings an impressive list of updates to the 3-row family hauler, including refreshed styling, new interior tech, and two new trim levels.

What are the new colors for the 2023 Telluride?

All 2023 Tellurides come with a V6 engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission. Kia hasn't announced its full trim line for the SUV for 2023, but the new X-Line and X-Pro trims will likely add to the existing LX, S, EX, and SX. The Telluride has always been a relative value pick in its segment; fully loaded, it tops out under $50,000. We expect the 2023 model to continue this structure, though the new trims could exceed that number with accessories.

What are the new colors for the 2023 Telluride?

The Kia Telluride has long been a family favorite. For three consecutive years, the vehicle has won both “Best 3-Row SUV for Families” from U.S. News & World Report and Best Family Car by Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com. In addition, J.D. Power identified the Kia Telluride as the best upper midsize SUV of 2022. It’s clear that this vehicle has a solid history of pleasing drivers, which makes the 2023 release especially exciting.

The 2023 Kia Telluride promises to be as comfortable, spacious, and powerful as ever. You’ll find new safety features, an enhanced infotainment system, and several sleek aesthetic updates. Here’s what you can expect from this new release. Wanna take one for a test drive? Visit Tom Kadlec Kia or call us at (507) 215-8923.

Performance and Power

Under the hood, the latest Telluride is nearly identical to its predecessors. The 2023 Telluride comes equipped with the same 3.8-liter V-6 engine and eight-speed automatic transmission as previous models and continues to offer 291 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. The naturally aspirated engine should offer roughly the same fuel economy as the 2022 Kia Telluride. This means that the standard FWD model would offer 20/26 MPG in the city and on the highway, respectively, while the optional AWD model would deliver 19/24 MPG. This means that the Telluride competes with similar V-6-powered SUVs in its class.

As with previous models, the 2023 Telluride offers four drive modes, including Smart, Eco, Sport, and Comfort. With AWD, you’ll have Snow and AWD Lock drive modes to help you to tackle the winter weather. The Telluride calibrates the ride height automatically for optimal control in any conditions. It features an independent suspension to deliver a smooth feeling. The standard towing capacity of 5,000 lbs can accommodate a wide variety of needs, and if you want to tow heavier items, you can select one of the new trim levels.

The Telluride comes with Kia’s 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty and its 10-year/100,000-mile bumper-to-bumper coverage to protect your purchase.

Exterior Styling and Features

The 2023 Kia Telluride is available in three new colors. You can choose from Midnight Lake Blue, Jungle Wood Green, and Dawning Red. A reshaped front grille gives the new Telluride a strong appearance that perfectly complements the power that you’ll find under the hood. The exterior also features an updated design for the vertical LED headlamps, tail lamps, bumpers, grille, lower door garnish trim, and rear fascia. You’ll enjoy newly designed alloy wheels for every trim level.

Interior Comforts

Slide behind the wheel of the 2023 Kia Telluride, and you’ll find a newly designed steering wheel and sleek new dashboard. The dual-screen digital displays present the instrument gauges and infotainment system on a single panel, where you can get all the information that you need at a glance. The dash features have been upgraded to 12.3-inch displays in place of the 10.3-inch displays that were available in the previous version. Revised HVAC vents and trim panels compliment the new interior color packages to create a sophisticated look and feel.

The 2023 Telluride is as spacious as ever with three-row seating for eight. This model is expected to offer the same roominess as the 2022 model, with 41.4 in of legroom in the first row, 42.4 in of legroom in the second row, and 31.4 in of legroom for third-row passengers. The 2022 Telluride also delivered an impressive amount of cargo space. If the 2023 model offers comparable room as expected, you’ll enjoy 21 cu ft behind the third row, 46 cu ft behind the second row, and a whopping 87 cu ft of space behind the front row.

Technology & Safety

In the 2023 Kia Telluride, you’ll have optimal connectivity with a standard WiFi hotspot. Drivers have the option to upgrade to a digital key that works with the iPhone, Apple Watch, and Samsung Galaxy smartphones as a stand-in for the physical keyfob.

The 2023 Kia Telluride comes standard with Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA) and Forward-Collision Avoidance – Junction Turning (FCA-JT). The newly added ISLA feature reads speed limit signs and alerts you when you’re speeding. You can adjust the settings to automatically limit the vehicle’s speed. FCA-JT is a new feature that’s designed to limit accidents when you turn left at an intersection. If the system detects an oncoming collision in this situation, it automatically applies the brakes.

Other standard driver-assist features include the following:

  • Highway Driving Assist 1.5.
  • Forward-Collision Warning.
  • Forward-Collision Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection.
  • Driver Attention Warning.
  • Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go.
  • High Beam Assist.

  • Lane-Keeping Assist.
  • Blind-Spot Collision – Avoidance Assist – Rear.
  • Rear Cross-Traffic Collision – Avoidance Assist.
