Trung tâm Anh Ngữ Liên Mỹ sử dụng phương pháp Immersion Language Teaching hay Content-based: Dạy Nội dung qua Ngôn ngữ. Với cách dạy Immersion Language Teaching, trẻ sẽ được học ngôn ngữ một cách tự nhiên thông qua hình ảnh, không dịch nghĩa từ tiếng Anh sang tiếng Việt như cách học truyền thống. Việc rèn thói quen học hiểu tiếng Anh bằng khái niệm sẽ giúp ích cho tư duy ngoại ngữ của trẻ, giúp trẻ NGHĨ TRỰC TIẾP bằng tiếng Anh khi giao tiếp thay lối nghĩ thông dụng bằng tiếng Việt trước rồi phiên dịch thành tiếng Anh mới giao tiếp được. Việc dịch nghĩa là tuyệt đối KHÔNG NÊN khi trẻ học tiếng Anh.

Hai nguyên tắc dạy tiếng Anh ở Trung Tâm Ngoại Ngữ Liên Mỹ một cách trực tiếp:

1. Đưa trẻ vào những trải nghiệm thực tế để sử dụng ngôn ngữ: như các hoạt động giao tiếp trên lớp, đóng vai, dã ngoại với giáo viên bản xứ.

2. Người học được tiếp xúc thường xuyên với hình ảnh thông qua các mẫu quảng cáo, sách báo, tạp chí, phim ảnh, bài hát … tạo môi trường sinh động, giúp trẻ tiếp thu ngôn ngữ một cách tự nhiên và hứng thú.

One hundred and eleven students from Brazilian public schools are participating, from July 1 to 5, in an English Immersion program “English Immersion USA” – sponsored by the United States Embassy and its Consulates in Brazil. In this thirteenth edition of the program, all Brazilian states and the Federal District are represented in Brasilia for a week totally immersed in American culture with plenty of time to practice their English.

During the program, students will attend conversation, history and geography classes, play sports and learn about American culture and cuisine. In addition, all of the participating students will present an action plan in social entrepreneurship to be implemented in their respective communities, using their experience and learnings from the immersion week in Brasília. All activities will be conducted in English so that the participants can develop their skills in the language and deepen their knowledge of the cultural diversity of the United States.

The selectees are between 15 and 18 years old, are all engaged in social projects in their communities, have academic excellence and were semifinalists of the selection process to the Youth Ambassadors Program in 2019. All expenses, such as air transportation, accommodation, health insurance, meals, and cultural programming, are sponsored by the U.S. Embassy and its consulates in Brazil.

A program for CHILDREN to LEARN TOGETHER AND LIVE TOGETHER

The class represents a learning community that lays the foundations for building social skills. Diversity and inclusion are a focus of the nurturing LFSF Preschool program. Understanding and respecting differences is key and adults ensure that all children are treated equitably under all circumstances.

Group activities are important in the construction of cognitive tools: recognizing, comparing, categorizing, contrasting, constructing images, linking events, using words referring to space, time, and so on. Activities focused on collective problem-solving or decision-making are also useful as they involve argumentation, explanation, questions, interest in what others believe, think and know.

La Petite Ecole (LPE) is a full immersion, international private preschool program available every morning of the week on our primary campuses, for children 2 and older. It is the gateway to the Early Learning program. It focuses on socialization and introducing these very young children to school while giving them an early start on bilingualism.

Preschool prepares children to become successful students whatever path they choose. At LFSF, students can opt to continue on with a French immersion French track, or the International track that proposes a well-rounded program in English with some French.
