    Windows 7  64-bit

    _______________

BIOS / Boot Options / Internal Network Adapter Boot = 'Disabled'.

    Should it be?

BIOS / Boot Options / Boot Order / ! Network Adapter is 'Enabled'

With message: "The boot capability will be disabled if the Device with the exclamation mark."

[Note the exclamation mark on the left of "! Network Adapter" and also note the message's incorrect English and/or incomplete phrase.  I am unware of any relevance, but mention these in case they might be.]

I'm wondering if there might be masked network access to my computer but lack the knowledge or experience to determine it.

    Thank you.

It should be disabled unless the PC is part of a network that requires it. When it is enabled, it is possible for a determined hacker to boot your PC remotely and access it. It is not very likely to happen, but it pays to err on the safe side.

Consider updating the BIOS to the latest version. The message's incorrect English and phrasing might have been corrected.

    Kind regards,
