Alternative ferry route from Pattaya across the Gulf of Thailand: In late 2021 the Seahorse ferry company started operating a new car and passenger ferry service from Sattahip, near Pattaya to Songkla.

Update October 2022: The ferry from Pattaya (Sattahip) to Songkla (see above) has (at least temporarily) been suspended. The same company, same boat, now operates a cruise-style ferry from Pattaya (Sattahip) to Koh Samui.
