While Hellboy Web of Wyrd is not the strongest example of a roguelike, the depth of its combat and themes more than make up for it. As perfect a representation of the Hellboy comic art as you could get in a 3D video game, Web of Wyrd is the best Hellboy game ever made, and an excellent entry point for new fans.

While the narrative is disappointing, Hellboy: Web of Wyrd's recreation of Mike Mignola's signature art style is mightily impressive, while its twist on the usual roguelite structure establishes a potent sense of progression that drives the journey forward. Its punchy and calculated combat is forced to carry the load of what is otherwise a fairly barebones experience, and it falters here at times, too, with a dodgy camera and lack of variation outside of its multitude of enemy types. Yet it's also the challenging toe-to-toe action that makes Web of Wyrd worth playing. Donning the crown (of the apocalypse) as the best Hellboy game ever made might not sound like an extraordinary achievement, but this is a character that has been starved of games, let alone good ones. Web of Wyrd is exactly that, which is maybe enough.

El arter visual es una joya la jugabilidad tambien que buena obra hiso Mike Mignola

Amazing game! I decided to double dip today and also buy it on PS5 and Switch to support the devs. Looking forward to see what else they'll be putting in this game (hopefully more).I don't know anything about Hellboy, but this game is up my alley. I love the roguelike, I love the graphics, I love the music. Everything is fitting right for me. 10/10. I'll most likely 100% achieve this one, and then jump on Playstation/Switch and do the same (maybe I'll buy it on Xbox also at some point LOL). It's just the type of gameplay that you don't get tired of in my opinion

Hellboy: Web of Wyrd feels very safe as roguelikes go — The controls are uncomplicated, the equipment is serviceable equipment, the enemies are straightforward, and it doesn’t go out of it’s way to do anything too strange or off the beaten path other than showcasing Mike Mignola’s iconic art style. Since that art was enough to get me in the door, it did what it needed to do, I suppose. Hellboy comic fans may enjoy this experience more than others as it was created with help from the writer of the comics, but I’m hoping that there are some updates down the road that will give the game a little more bite.

This Hellboy roguelike nails the ‘Hellboy’ but fluffs the ‘roguelike’. A brilliant recreation of Mignola’s art and surprisingly sharp writing are let down by thin, repetitive gameplay.

As a comic brought to life, Hellboy: Web of Wyrd nails the narrative tone and art style that Mike Mignola perfected decades ago. As an action game, there are impediments to enjoyment, starting with the purposefully choppy animation and Hellboy’s lack of fluid movement. What works in the pages of a book doesn’t necessarily translate to fun in the hands of the player.

Hellboy: Web of Wyrd is unequivocally the best Hellboy title to date. It's captivating, featuring an intriguing world and a narrative that pays homage to the universe crafted by Mike Mignola. However, the slow and monotonous combat system significantly hinders the game's overall appeal.

If the game was merely simplistic, or lamentably brief, or even a little janky here and there, that would be something to work with. Instead, Hellboy: Web of Wyrd takes a carefully crafted tale, some A-1 voice talent, and a convincing sensation of walking around an actual Hellboy comic as Big Red himself, and dashes everything against the rocks of its gameplay.

I liked this more than others Stunning visuals that look like a comic come to life. These are the best parts of the game, that and Lance **** amazing performance The gameplay is where it stumbles, it's not unresponsive but for a Hellboy game there could've been a lot more done as this just feels like a less ambitious Hades

I mean it's a decent roguelike based on Hellboy and I enjoy it for what it is: you are Hellboy, a walking unstopable tank and you punch the living hell out of monsters.I am also glad that they used Mignola's **** game for me looks amazing. A bit repetitive thou :( 7/10

[SPOILER ALERT: This review contains spoilers.]

even free not worth it but if u very fan hellboy buy it 90% discount. - 11 - 15 hours long. -very very repetitive samy roguelite game, clunky repetitive simple combat, bad samy level design, little enemies type, samy attackes enemies, very little verity, only 3 guns and 3 skills. -only good like comics.

This game is terrible and the voice acting is so off it's offensive. This game is an insult to Hellboy, what horrible casting.

Is Hellboy appropriate for 8 year olds?

Parents need to know that Hellboy is a new take on Mike Mignola's popular superhero comic book series about a demonic antihero. Unlike the earlier, PG-13 adaptations that came out in 2004 and 2008, this version is rated R. And no wonder: It's extremely violent, with tons of computer-generated blood and gore.

Why is Hellboy Rated PG

Violence & Scariness. Graphic comic book-style action violence. Some frightening images, a dark and at times macabre tone. Characters stabbed to death, impaled.

Is the new Hellboy any good?

Hellboy Reviews Hellboy reminds us just how mediocre a comic book movie can be. Hellboy is a poor adaptation, but most importantly it is a poor use of all the talents involved. This hellfire has already been extinguished. The film's treatment of race could be seen as a minor bright spot.

Is Hellboy 2004 a good movie?

B+ Good script, well-paced, overall very entertaining. Hellboy is a well-balanced and very well-paced movie that avoids tiresome action movie content (mostly).
