Marathons in Vietnam - Which One Will Inspire You?

If you are someone who likes to hit the open road and tackle unchartered territory, then the Vietnam Trail Marathon is a perfect choice. It is held in Moc Chau, Vietnam and is known as a jungle marathon. Make your way through hidden trails and venture farther than most people have ever gone, all while racing toward the finish line. 

Or, for the beach comber, the Halong Bay Heritage is for you. The route is a breathtaking 26.2 miles along the shoreline. While running, participants cross the Bai Chay Bridge, with mountains views abound. It is considered one of the most scenic trails on earth. International runners come from all around to join in a race across land that is termed "Heaven on Earth".

If flat and fast is your favorite, then see the city sites of Hanoi all on foot at the Hanoi International Heritage Marathon. Held in October, the weather is incredible, and you will get to see all of the greatest tourist sites while racing toward the yellow line.

Ha Giang (VNA) – An international marathon named “Running on Happiness Route” is scheduled to take place on October 9 in the northernmost province of Ha Giang’s Meo Vac district.

Professional and amateur runners in Vietnam and abroad are set to participate in the races of 42km, 21km, 12km, and 6km.

During the course of the event, athletes, delegates and visitors will experience local popular tourist destinations such as Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, Quan Ba Twin Mountain, and Lung Cu National Flagpole.

They will also be treated to festivals, folk culture, foods, traditional crafts and wet markets.

According to Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Duc Quy, the race is a key sport activity of Ha Giang, aiming to introduce the province's tourism and promote people’s participation in physical training and sports./.
