When I bought this cream I didn’t expect it to do anything other than providing enough moisture for my skin during the Summer months. As I said at one time, I believe that even if beneficial ingredients are present in a moisturize, the amount would be too small to have an effect because “moisture-providing” ingredients take most of the place. The result from using this cream proved that I had been right. After more than a month using the cream, neither my pore size nor skin tone showed improvements.

However, this cream is a very good moisturizer for normal, combination, slightly dry, and slightly oily skin so I love to use it in Fall and Spring when my skin goes through the transition to very dry and very oily. The cream is absorbed quickly into the skin and leaves no residue, but still makes skin feel and look well moisturized. This is important to me because I extremely hate it when a lot of moisturizers leave a film sitting on top of my skin. I would say this moisturizer is in between a cream and a gel, not light enough for super oily skin and not heavy enough for super dry skin, but perfect for the skin types in between.

Today, I will be reviewing an eye cream from Innisfree. After finding the cleanser from “Whitening Pore” range suiting my skin very well, I decided to try out this eye cream to combat under-eye circles. To know more about this product and how it fared for me, read on 🙂

How To Use: Before cream, release an appropriate amount to gently apply across your eyes with your ring fingers and pat for penetration.

My Experience with Innisfree Whitening Pore Eye Cream:

Like all eye creams from Innisfree, this one comes in an orange cardboard box with details printed on it using environmental-friendly soy ink. The box contains all the information, including price. The actual eye cream is housed in a small pump bottle. It is travel friendly and hygienic due to the pump packaging. The body of the eye cream is off white in colour, and has a pretty tangerine design embossed onto it. The back of the bottle has information such as ingredients, directions for usage etc. Overall, the packaging is very chic and easy to use.

This eye cream contains fresh tangerine peel squeeze, which means it is loaded with active vitamin C. Any product with vitamin C instantly draws me in. The cleanser from the same range fared extremely well for me, so I was excited to try this one out.

The eye cream is white in colour, and is slightly translucent. It is not too runny, nor too thick. Unlike the “Ecoscience eye cream,” this one is not very greasy. It does although leave a certain sheen behind. The product is moderately scented with tangerine peel fragrance, which doesn’t really bother me.

Coming to the application of the product, this eye cream has a brightening effect over time. It provides abundant moisture and nourishment to the eyes. Half a pump is enough for each eye, and the amount can be increased slightly in the night routine. I apply this by patting the cream using my ring finger. It takes about a minute for it to absorb, and even after that, I wait a few minutes before I apply eye makeup. This eye cream will not give a matte look, nor is it suitable for under makeup. I feel the need to mattify the under eye area with translucent powder, after which my eyes look better. Reapplication of powder is not required, as long as I have given enough time for the eye cream to absorb completely. The brightening effects are not immediate, but they do show up after about a month. Overall, this is a good brightening eye cream.

Does Innisfree eye cream work?

It provides intense hydration to the delicate skin around the eyes, BUT it's not a game changeing product. It lasted me for at least 3 months, which is so worth it for its price. I still see visible lines but not after applying it. Once you have wrinkles, I guess it's hard to get rid of them.

Does Innisfree whiten your skin?
