We look at how each team fared from an attacking and defensive point of view. We then rank all the relevant midfield and forward players based on their xG and xA performance in that gameweek. You can also see how much they cost and their FPL points for the gameweek. Using those stats, we then state whether their performance was good, ok or bad in relation to their price tag. That’s mainly by theoretical Points/Price but players can get a pass if there shot volumes were ok. We go through the lineups for the gameweek and identify those positive “out of position players” who are categorised as FPL defenders who played in midfield or FPL midfielders that actually played as forwards. From the lineups we also look for players who seem very good value in the lineup for the team they play for and we specifically look out for £4.0m Defs and £4.5m mids Note I will do a best attacking defender schedule during each International break as that needs a number of games to give any meaningful data To help you digest that we provide a key point summary at the end. The opening day saw a total of 34 goals with an average of 3.4 goals per game. From the 2nd day of FPL Gameweek 1, FPL managers recorded some insane point hauls thanks to Bruno Fernandes and Mohamed Salah’s outstanding points. In this blog we’re going to analyze all the games closely by keeping a close eye on our FPL assets, and future assets. Tuchel also rotates his backline heavily and the least preferred option is Zouma and the most preferred option is Antonio Rüdiger at £5.5 price tag. Good connections all around, 3+2 at the back, wing-backs provide width, two tens behind the striker. Credit – BetweenThePostsWatford had a decent start to their campaign as well, Aston Villa’s defense looked a bit worried and clueless, they were sloppy at times as well, some good Watford pick includes Sarr (£6.0m), Cleverley (£5.0m), Dennis (£5.0m), Cucho (£5.0m), they looked really in good touch, worked the ball really well, Ings, on the other hand, is a good forward pick as well but after Grealish’s departure Villa looked to create fewer chances also Watkins was unavailable who really presses high and has an impact to the Villa side. Burnley possed some early thread into the game, they also had aerial threats, Tarkowski header certainly gave them the lead in the 2nd minute, Gudmundsson and Westwood had some threat as well, on the other hand, Brighton after the half time completely took the game away from Burnley, they looked clueless in their defensive setup from crosses into the box. Burnley faces Liverpool next and Brighton is up against Watford in GW 2. My thread on possible FPL assets who might have a good campaign ahead: A thread on possible FPL assets from these winning teams ⬇️ That’s all for our survey of Gameweek 1. The Premier League season is back in progress, the deadline for Gameweek 2 is Saturday, August 21st at 11am UK time. Your love is what keeps us going:) Should I replace Gabriel in FPL?Should I sell Gabriel in FPL? Based on everything we know, it now looks like Gabriel's minutes may not be entirely assured for the duration of the season. Whilst he played all 38 Premier League games in 2022/23, this time around it looks to be a different story for Mikel Arteta's side. Who is the captain of the FPL Gameweek 1?Gameweek 1 FPL stats: Haaland justifies record backing as captain. How many points is a good week in FPL?FPL gurus and seasoned managers generally agree that averaging 50-59 points every gameweek is the bare minimum target. A gameweek score between 60-75 points is considered good, and between 76-99 points are excellent. 100 points or more is an outstanding achievement that falls into winner's bracket. Who to captain for GW3?FPL GW3 Captaincy poll ~ Wisdom Of the Crowd Manchester City's Erling Haaland tops the polls with 70% of the votes.
