What does it truly mean to live? How do you know you are living or simply being blown along by life like a leaf in the wind? In our quest of finding truth and meaning in our lives, we can easily become bogged down by the routine of our daily life and habits. The desire to be in comfort often dissuades us from dreaming bigger dreams, setting larger goals, or even feeling like we have the power to make the choice of living. The choice to live is a conscious decision to be present and not allow life to simply happen to you. It is recognizing that your existence stems from purpose and not by mere chance. To exist, is to live a life outside of the purpose you were created to carry out. To exist, is to accept life and feel you cannot create the reality you want to experience. In the Strangest Secret, by Earl Nighingale he raises a valid question that I believe we can all explore irrespective of our field of study or vocation. "Do you know what will happen to 100 individuals who start even at the age of 25, and who believe they will be successful? By the age of 65, only five out of 100 will make the grade! According to Nightingale, "success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal. A success is anyone who is realizing a worthy predetermined ideal, because that's what he or she decided to do." What book is awaiting to be written by your hands, speech awaiting to be heard through your voice, program or idea awaiting to be implemented or new country awaiting to be seen through your eyes? I challenge you to live and create the life you desire and not wait for the perfect moment in time to act on your dreams. To live is to be comfortable with the uncomfortable, to embrace change with a smile; to embrace a new and improved version of yourself and act on your dreams irrespective of your fear or perceived hardship.
