 What's New for the 2023 Honda HR-V?

If you have been waiting for the perfect time to upgrade to a new Honda HR-V, that time has arrived. The HR-V has been a top pick among small crossover SUV shoppers for many years, and its appeal will grow for the 2023 model year with the debut of the line’s second generation. The impressive updates to the latest version of the HR-V begin on the exterior with fresh styling from bumper to bumper. Its new look boasts confident curves through the profile with a deep scoop that rolls down the hood. The grille is smaller and reshaped, and it shows off an elongated, honeycomb-like mesh. The headlights are edgy, with an orange ribbon of light underscoring a series of rounded bulbs. The rear has a thick, black bumper with rolling taillights and a liftgate spoiler. Compared to the 2022 version, the 2023 HR-V is both longer and wider.

You can expect to find some exciting changes under the hood as well. The 2023 Honda HR-V will pull 158 horsepower from its inline-four gas engine. The powertrain will be combined with a revamped rear suspension system. Rather than using the beam axle design from the 2022 version, the 2023 HR-V has an independent suspension. Additional mechanical features include active noise cancellation, hill descent control, and available all-wheel drive.

The 2023 Honda HR-V is impressively well-equipped throughout its redesigned cabin as well. Some of its many features depending on the trim include a sunroof, keyless ignition, USB ports, satellite radio, a 7-inch or 9-inch touch display screen, a wireless phone charging pad, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, an auto-dimming rear mirror, heated front seats, and leather material. Honda Sensing® safety features are standard for all trims. These include forward collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, and more. These are combined with next-gen airbags to keep you and your passengers safer on the road. The top two trims of the 2023 Honda HR-V also add a blind-spot monitoring system.
