The new 2023 Suzuki Hayabusa has been unveiled globally and it gets some new colour schemes. In India, the mighty Hayabusa is currently priced at Rs 16.41 lakh, ex-showroom.

Suzuki has unveiled the updated Hayabusa in the global markets. The new 2023 Suzuki Hayabusa gets new colour schemes for the US market. However, the same updates are expected to be carried to the India-spec model too in the coming months. The current third-generation Suzuki Hayabusa was launched in India in April 2021 and it has been a runaway hit.

For 2023, the international-spec Suzuki Hayabusa is offered in three new dual-tone colour shades. They are – Pearl Vigour Blue with Pearl Brilliant White, Metallic Matte Black with Glass Sparkle Black, and Metallic Thunder Grey with Candy Daring Red. Apart from the introduction of these new colour schemes, the mighty Busa remains the same as before.

In India too, the Suzuki Hayabusa is currently offered in three colours. They are – Glass Sparkle Black with Candy Burnt Gold, Metallic Matte Sword Silver with Candy Daring Red and Pearl Brilliant White with Metallic Matte Stellar Blue. The new colour options are likely to make their way to our shores in the near future.  

Powering this Peregrine Falcon is a Euro-5 compliant 1340cc, inline-four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 187 bhp and 150 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and it gets a six-axis IMU, traction control, cornering ABS, three power modes, cruise control, etc. The Suzuki Hayabusa is currently priced in India at Rs 16.41 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi.

Suzuki Motorcycle has updated its popular Hayabusa sports tourer bike with new colour options for 2023. Apart from the new colours there is no other update on the bike. The bike has managed to receive three new colours as part of the model year update. It now sports a fully blacked-out paint scheme called Metallic Matte Black with Glass Sparkle Black. In addition, there is also a new Metallic Thunder Grey colour with Candy Daring Red accents.  The third option is the Pearl Vigour Blue with Pearl Brilliant White scheme. 

At the heart of the bike continues to sit the same 1340cc, inline-four engine. This powertrain is responsible for delivering 188bhp of maximum power which is backed up with 150Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox and a standard two-way quick shifter.

Some of the key features on the bike include the use of a six-axis IMU, ride-by-wire throttle, launch control, ABS, five riding modes, and cruise control. In addition to this, the bike also gets a slew of performance and safety features such as a Traction Control System (TCS), low RPM assist function, engine brake control, anti-lift control, active speed limiter and hill/slope control. With the previous generation update, the bike gained an updated suspension setup, grippier Bridgestone Battlasx Hypersport S22 tyres, as well as higher-spec Brembo brakes. These changes have been carried over in the model year updated bike as is.

The MY22 bike is already available in the Indian market in limited numbers. The updated 2023 model is also likely to be seen in India soon. The official launch of the new model is expected to take place sometime closer to the festive season later this year.

Apart from the three new colour schemes, the Hayabusa remains unchanged.

Suzuki has updated the iconic Hayabusa superbike for 2023, by adding new colour options to the range. For now, only the model in the USA has received an update, and it is expected to arrive in India too in due course.

2023 Suzuki Hayabusa: what’s new?

For model year 2023, Suzuki had added three new colour schemes to the Hayabusa’s line-up. The Busa now comes in Metallic Matte Black No. 2 and Glass Sparkle Black; Metallic Thunder Gray and Candy Daring Red; and Pearl Brilliant White and Pearl Vigor Blue colour schemes. However, the graphics remain the same, with the Suzuki lettering on the tank and the Japanese script on the side panel of the fairing.

The Suzuki Hayabusa also remains mechanically unchanged for 2023 and is continued to be powered by a 1,340cc, four-cylinder engine that puts out 190hp and 150Nm paired to a 6-speed gearbox. In terms of features, the Busa gets an LED headlight, a six-axis IMU, traction control, anti-wheelie control, three power modes, quickshifter, launch control, cruise control, cornering ABS and hill hold control.

In India, the Suzuki Hayabusa is currently priced at Rs 16.41 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). However, expect the new colour options to command a slight price premium when they are launched here.
