The focusing ring is very narrow and, in fact, combined with the front of the lens trunk, rotates 80 degrees. MDF is only 35 cm and it is not difficult to remove small objects. When zooming, the trunk of the lens moves in waves, having the most compact dimensions at 50 mm of focal length. From the foregoing, we can conclude that this lens is not too suitable for serious use with special filters (for example, polarizing).

Nikon AF Nikkor 28-80mm 1: 3.3-5.6G (MKIII) is a very simple and affordable lens, you can buy it for mere pennies on the secondary market. In our time, it is of no value, since there are many better solutions. It is unlikely that anyone is going to use it on a full-format digital signal center, and for cropped cameras, the lens does not have the most convenient FR range. Nevertheless, it is worth noting the lightness, fast autofocus and, in general, good image quality for such a crumb :)
