2023 Ford Ranger Overview
Ford’s midsize Ranger moves mostly unchanged into 2022, save for some trim changes. There’s a Splash Package available, with 18-inch matte black wheels, orange and black body-side graphics, gloss black exterior trim, and orange-stitched seats. Features including the Tremor Off-Road package, heated mirrors, garage door opener, and two-colour instrument cluster screens are available on a wider range of trims.
Performance
The Ranger uses a turbocharged 2.3L “EcoBoost” four-cylinder engine, making 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque, and it runs on regular-grade gasoline. It comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission, and all models are four-wheel drive.Practicality
The Ranger comes in SuperCab, with seating for four and six-foot bed, or as the five-passenger SuperCrew with five-foot bed. Payload ranges from 1,560 to 1,650 lbs, while both configurations can tow up to 7,500 lbs, which among the highest towing capacity of its midsize competitors.Value
The SuperCab comes in XL or XLT trim, while the SuperCrew is available in XLT or Lariat trim.
